one of the poppies in the making and Playtime

I have managed to get some Molei friendly cookies made again... Cinnamon and cranberry... yummmmmy.

Here's one of the poppies... just figuring out how to make the leaves... experiment, I shall

snoozes.... again.... poor Rosie is being held hostage again.

hide and seek, using Rosie as a human shield ... sorry a dolly shield.
And you see Flopsy Brown (mr nut browns daughter in the book)

HELLEW!!!!!
Smile???? Laugh??? funny face??? anything???
Nope

Here is pad'a'one dancing in her bouncer... mummy is crocheting

This time mummy is making begals with philli and bacon.
All you could hear was her telling me off because I was paying attention to the kitchen rather than her....  then when I come through, She smiles and blows raspberries and bubbles.

looking normal... and creative when Pad'a'one is asleep

Where do I start???
Looking normal.... No, not really. I'm more the "Different" type

Hair chopped off, new specs  and back to feeling a little more human.
Pixie crossed with modern punk.... Ish. Most of my smart clothes tend to say so too.
That and Pad'a'one can't grab quite as much hair now.

Pad'a'one has been sitting up! here and there, with mummy near by for if she loses her balance or gets tired.
Reminds me, there are jim jams that need to go into the too small box.

"Sorry boys
Daddy says
I can't date
until I'm
30"
It's true....
Daddy has a tshirt saying
"I'm not scared of you
I have a Daughter"
Which is also true. As cuddly as they get, it is funny watching her  tell him off... Even funnier still is when Daddy is telling her off and she smiles about it.
Daddy can't stay angry at the cheeky grin.

"Don't Look
at me...
That smell
 is my
Grandad"
That's true too.. Popops has had a few Potent ones here and there in the past... and Popop's Loves this vest.

complaining after lots of milk.....  "I want more!"
Be patient young one, let what you've had settle first.
She has had to change milk due to digestion problems, she was on EXTRA HUNGRY now on basic stage 1... only 6 weeks and she can start stage 2

ZZZzzz .... wriggled there herself. I left her under the cover on her back cuddling whatever toy she decided was fit.
she has her days she can sleep for Europe. On some days.... there might as well be an Insomniac in the flat. No sleep for 36 hours at one point. When it is that bad, I sleep when she does.

At Nana Mumbles house. We set her on Nana Lou's blankies to play, she fell asleep.... I popped out of the room and when I came back.... tah dah... Little lady is AWAKE and beaming smiles at everyone.

Pad'a'one was sitting in her bath tub, I was sorting washing out.
This little Ladybird was sitting on my window... I opened the window to air the washing and he soon flew out.
Well he is another critter on my list

One of many more strange snoozes..... I use this time to do house work or be creative, you'll see...

Cheeky... Yesterday, after a long day out in Reddich. Starting to lag, o play time to tire her out just that bit more.

felt tip pens and a scrap of paper. trying to decide what to crochet next...

Popop's Birthday present... well part of it... still got to finnish the hat, and then I will be making a scarf.
I've also been working on some crochet Poppies For remembrance Sunday. only 5... (Pad'a'one will have hers attatched to her hat so she doesn't play with it)
I won't be letting the Poppy funds go down. I usually put anything I have loose into their tins and buckets.
Having Military in the family, Army, navy and Air force..... So know very well the symbolism and respect for the poppy.

cheeky faces and Rainy Days

As much as I love waking up to a smiley little face, after being invited onto Mummy's bed for morning cuddles, I don't appreciate a wriggling rascal Dominating my half of the bed, or being kicked till I am out of bed and smiled at cheekily.
Butter DOES Melt at 6 am.

Tuesday morning after being chucked out of bed.
"But I was NICE and WARM. You have your own bed to wriggle on."
I just get grinned at.

An escape attempt, chewing through the bar. Didn't work,  she got board and started chewing on Mr. Nut Brown instead.

Back to today.....

Ewwwwwww..... I'm glad we got home from the shops when we did. the road turned into a river for a good portion of the day.
Most of it is gone now and the sun is back out.

Back from the shops, Placed in her bed to play while Mummy does a job or two....  came in to check on a very quiet baby (usualy she is "aaaaah" and "ehhhhhh" ing at everything)... ZZzzZZzzZZzz... "fair enough, another job it is then"
Once she had woken up again, there were endless cuddles and playtime on mummy's lap, a story and four month plus Cauliflower, broccoli and cheese mushy lunch and more play time!! (not as hungry as yesterday... She might be hungry at tea time)

"No, MUMMY is HERE. OI.. PADDY!!!! that doesn't give you an excuse to chew on the book"
of course, I call her by her real name rather than her nick name, she is responding to it a bit more now.
about 30 seconds after this picture was taken, she put her head on her book  and fell asleep....
"lightweight".

whilst little one snuggles to mummy

Its a good day for ducks today, Pad'a'one and myself have had fun sitting in the window watching people get wet, cars, trucks, lorries and many emergency services go past whirling and flashing away all morning.
We've also been watching Moshchops and his friend quarrel over each others trees and horse chestnuts (conkers).
We know who is who because Moshchops has red in his tail, He lives in the chestnut tree above the path between the main road and our front door.  The other squirrel is now known as Tails, because his tail is a lot bushier. He has some red in his face and front legs. He lives in the beech next to the drive.. there is occasionally a third squirrel about, but haven't seen him close up enough yet, he lives on the other lawn across the driveway from us. Tails has had a scrap or two with him recently too... Our unknown friend lives in the Huge Copper Beech tree that sits slap bang in the middle of the flat next door's lawn. We have to look out the side window to see that lawn.
Well, Enough of Moshchops and co. What else has been Happening????

Lets start with Saturday night....... Pad'a'one decided to use tummy time as nap time....
She has now learnt how to grab onto everything, blanket, toys and mummy's hair!
Good job I have had plenty of practice with hair pulling from three younger siblings and too many cousins younger to count... on both of my parents family's, cousins are estimated to more than fifteen. I have babysat around four or five.
( she just woke up... so much for being a nap)
Yesterday, Mumble, Pops', Molei, Pad'a'one and myself Piled in a car and went for a drive to Hatton and  the Warwick area. It was a wet day, So Pad'a'one was Wrapped up to the nose even in her pram (slept through most of the pram wonderings and some of the car) because she hadn't been too well.
It was that wet, We didn't get the chance to get our cameras out much, only the resident Peackock was out to play. His tail wasn't at it's best, But the colours on his body looked Beautiful.

See, Asleep.... in the car with her beloved Mr. Nut Brown and newest friend Rosie. Daddy found her hidden on a shelf in one of the shops in Hatton and just had to get her.
Pad'a'one Reached out at her when Daddy brought her over to the pram and went straight in for a cuddle and pull at her woolen pigtails.

Last night, I managed to get this far with crocheting... I wasn't wearing my specs  and was tired... that's my excuse for its "wonkeyness" and sticking to it!
Wondering what to do next to it....

This morning's View of Moshchops's tree from the bedroom, cold and starting to look a lot like winter slowly but surly. There aren't any nice walks near by otherwise I would have been and taken other photos by now That And I would like Pad'a'one to get a bit bigger before I take her outside to explore Leaves and things.... Quite happy letting her explore her Blankets and toys for now.
And Lady Muck (pad'a'one) playing in her cot whilst Mummy does a couple of jobs around the flat. All but Mr. Nut Brown gets taken out at bed time. Mummy doesn't want to hear the blocks rattle and crunch at 2 am. Also we don't want Rosie's hair to get choked on... so it is best during the day when there is a peep around the door to check on her every few minutes.
Play wise, Richt now, She has managed to lift her tummy off of the ground for about three seconds. and then Faceplant back down again...Still working on shoulder and arm strength
That and one of her teddies just got attacked. She rolled onto Gemima Puddleduck  for being in the way.
Talk wise... "AAAAAGHHHHH!!!" and "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!" is the usual.
When I greet her I say "hello", I usualy get smiled at and once managed to get an "Oh" back..

big girl bed and glasses

Pad'a'one hasn't been herself since Sunday.... Sniffles, Immunizations and teething. Maybe even growing pains too.
A lot of waking up at night and a little snoozing during the day.
She doesn't snooze much for long, only 10 minute cat naps here and there, Enough time to do a job or two if I'm lucky.
Snoozing on Mummy. Having a P J day and lots of cuddles.

My Glasses! red or dead! Watching the telly and having a cuddle of a Pad'a'one that is watching telly too. EEk. It is a rare sight to have a picture of ME these days. Not very keen on cameras facing me.

" AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!" According to Pad'a'one. Who usually has her tongue hanging out looking a little like Gene Simmons... all she needs now is the Makeup!!!!

"Porridge? What Porridge? I didn't get any Porridge?"
four month + Fruity Porridge.
She is loving the stuff! but not giving her much at the moment, she is only four months after all and we have only just begun giving her solids.
One Hungry baby.

We had to pop Out. So, we wrapped up warm and grabbed the train into town, she now sits up in her Pram like a BIG GIRL and watches the world go by. Often there is a cat nap too... She Loves it.

Ah, the new bed.
Her Moses basket is getting a little small, so a cot was bought. She is still getting to grips with it.
The joys of NAP time is she gets to ware herself and have a kip, so why not let her get used to her new surroundings by putting her Mr. Nut Brown and Bobbins into the cot. Giving her some Teething Powder and dodey to chomp it in and leave her to it.... soon enough... ZZzzzz.....

Monday 7 October 2013

17 weeks old??? OOOOO ek!

So, there is nothing left of the Molei friendly cake....  Even Molei's mum and dad helped polish off with 2nd helpings and like the thought of more experiments to come... They enjoy the Goodies that spring out of the small yet Ample kitchen on a regular basis and often ask when the next batch will be in their reach.

Also, it is good practice for Molei's birthday cake (20th).

"Pad'a'one, don't cry!"
She got a lovely present of the nurse today for being 17 weeks old. Not!
The last of her Immunizations for a year. Yey!!

Just awake, first Kip after the Nurse's evil doings. Teething isn't helping. She was only asleep for 10 minutes! Must be time for food and teething powder.
"Mushed rusk, with a side of milk ma'am?"
Smile.

After said grub and  it is time to carry on with a little more house work, so Pad'a'one plays on the bed and gets shifted as and when mummy needs that bit of the bed. She sits in her bath whilst mummy puts the washing out in the spare room. Daddy does the vacuuming.

She is still taking tantrums, but much better behaved for now whilst sitting on mummy's lap watching mummy add pictures to screen savers, blog and putting visualizations on the music player.

Well, It is time to continue sorting my photo folders out. they are a bit of a mess.
Let's see what the treasure shrove brings.

More Molei friendly goodies!

Diabetic friendly cherry and sultana cake!..
Would have looked nicer if it didn't fall apart when putting it on cooling tray!
We now use totally sweet in cuppas and baking which is an alternative to sugar. And in the recipes I have in my diabetes cook and bake book don't have much use of sugar at all...
Molei can have Molei friendly goodies home made... Already been Kaiy tested, yummy... 8/10 always room for tweeking !
I made shortbread from the book last week, but they were too dry, going to play with the recipe next time I make them.

I think next, to try and find a scone recipe. Either that or use totally sweet in a larger scale. or just lower the amount put into the recipe... Molei isn't into Savoury scones, so cheese ones are out of the question! Damn It!

Right... what to do for Lunch?

Thursday 3 October 2013

lots of wool.... and ideas running through the mind

I made Molei friendly bread. Next time there will be recipe tinkering!
Even for wholemeal, it was heavy and didn't rise as much as I thought it should.
Can't wait to have another go though and it tasted nice.

Other than the baking...
My wool arrived.  £16 for 20 x 100g balls that was including post and packaging.
Rainbows come to mind, I'm already under instruction to make a multi coloured Beanie Hat for Pops'

But I'm going to start with a Blanket. It looks a mess, but I asure you that it is organized Chaos.
Of course there is company whilst crocheting.. .Pad'a'one . pleanty of smiles! and high pitched squeaks when she isn't getting all the attention

"AAAAaaaaaa!!!!!!" back with Brass Knobs On.

Pad'a'one trying on her hat before I put tassles on it.
It ended up like a Thunderbird Hat, shame she wasn't in her door bouncer, she dances like a thunderbird in that!

speaking of Pad'a'one, she is reminding me that it is time for tea.
